The Doctor and Gary land on Earth... again... during a thunder storm. The TARDIS is struck by lightning, and something is released... or should I say, someone.
Meanwhile an archaelogical dig has uncovered a war-torn Dalek. The discoverer is then taken over by something - whatever was released from the TARDIS - and the Doctor's oldest enemy is reborn.
